Partner and Affiliate Disclosure
Our Commitment to Disclosure
Palmabook is committed to clear, timely, and prominent disclosure of commercial relationships that may create a financial or other business benefit for Palmabook. This page explains when Palmabook works with third-party service providers, affiliate networks, advertisers, creators, and distribution partners, and whether those relationships may result in revenue, credits, reduced fees, marketing value, or other compensation.
This disclosure is intended to support compliance with applicable consumer protection and advertising laws, including the U.S. Federal Trade Commission Endorsement Guides, the EU Unfair Commercial Practices framework, the Canada Competition Act, and similar transparency rules in other jurisdictions where Palmabook operates or markets its services.
When Palmabook links to, integrates with, features, or references a third party, users should not assume the relationship is unpaid, neutral, or purely editorial unless Palmabook says so. Where a material connection exists, Palmabook aims to disclose it in a manner that is clear, proximate, and understandable.
Palmabook may receive commercial benefit from some partner relationships, including affiliate commissions, advertising revenue, referral credits, discounted vendor pricing, or increased transaction volume. Other vendors are used only to operate the platform and do not pay Palmabook any referral compensation. This page distinguishes between those categories.
Affiliate Relationships
Palmabook may participate in affiliate marketing arrangements, including through the AWIN affiliate network and direct partner programs. In an affiliate relationship, Palmabook may earn a commission or similar compensation if a user clicks a qualifying link and later completes a purchase, booking, signup, or other tracked action with the third party.
Affiliate links do not increase the price you pay unless the third party independently sets pricing or promotions. However, Palmabook may benefit financially when users engage with an affiliate offer. For that reason, Palmabook discloses affiliate relationships wherever reasonably required.
Palmabook’s practices for affiliate disclosure include the following:
How Affiliate Links Are Identified
Affiliate outbound links, widgets, or promotional placements are labeled with terms such as Affiliate Link, Partner Offer, or similar language intended to make the commercial nature of the link clear before or at the time of click.
Where technical or design limitations apply, Palmabook will use another clear and conspicuous disclosure reasonably calculated to inform users of the material connection.
How Affiliate Compensation Works
Affiliate compensation may be calculated as:
- A percentage of a sale or booking
- A fixed fee per transaction or lead
- A recurring amount for qualifying subscriptions
- Promotional credits or media value
Compensation structures may vary by advertiser, geography, campaign, device type, or network rules. Palmabook does not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or continued eligibility of any affiliate offer.
Editorial Independence
Palmabook may choose to feature a partner offer, destination service, or related travel product because it is relevant to users, but Palmabook may also receive compensation for resulting transactions. Users should therefore understand that commercial relationships may influence which non-core travel services are promoted on Palmabook.
Palmabook does not represent affiliate-linked services as independent consumer advice, legal advice, or professional recommendations.
Affiliate Questions
For affiliate, partnership, or publisher inquiries, contact partners@palmabook.com.
Payment Processing
Palmabook uses Stripe, Inc. and related Stripe entities to support payment processing and connected account functionality.
Stripe as Payment Processor
Stripe is Palmabook’s payment processor for card payments and related checkout functions. Stripe is a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment service provider. Palmabook uses Stripe Elements to help process payment details in a manner designed to reduce Palmabook’s direct exposure to full card data.
Palmabook pays Stripe standard merchant processing fees and related service charges under its merchant agreement. Palmabook does not receive a referral fee, affiliate commission, or bounty from Stripe merely for using Stripe as its payment processor.
Stripe Connect for Host Onboarding and Payouts
Palmabook uses Stripe Connect, including Stripe Express or similar connected-account tooling, for host identity verification, regulatory onboarding, and payouts where available. This means certain hosts may be required to provide information directly to Stripe for know-your-customer, anti-money laundering, sanctions screening, tax, or payout verification purposes.
Palmabook’s use of Stripe Connect is an operational service relationship. Palmabook does not receive referral compensation from Stripe for placing hosts onto Stripe Connect beyond Palmabook’s ordinary platform operations and payment flows.
Important Distinction
Palmabook’s revenue comes from its marketplace operations and pricing model, not from referring users or hosts to Stripe as a financial product. Any fees charged by Stripe are governed by Stripe’s own terms and disclosures.
Questions about payment issues on Palmabook may be directed to partners@palmabook.com. Legal or privacy questions related to payment data handling may be directed to partners@palmabook.com.
Authentication and Messaging
Palmabook uses Twilio Verify and related messaging tools to support account authentication, including WhatsApp one-time passcodes and other verification workflows.
Twilio is a third-party vendor that charges Palmabook standard usage-based fees for authentication and messaging services. Palmabook does not receive any referral commission, resale commission, or affiliate payment from Twilio in connection with these services.
Palmabook uses these services to help secure user accounts, verify identity signals, and reduce fraud. Message delivery, channel availability, and verification success may depend on region, carrier, device, app availability, and third-party platform conditions. Standard carrier or data charges may also apply to the user depending on their mobile plan or messaging environment.
Palmabook’s use of Twilio does not constitute an endorsement of Twilio products by users, and any links to Twilio or references to Twilio are made in the context of service disclosure and platform operations.
Analytics and Advertising
Palmabook uses Google services, including Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, and Google Maps, to measure site performance, improve marketing effectiveness, support ad attribution, and display location-related functionality.
Google Analytics 4
Palmabook uses Google Analytics 4 with tracking ID G-6Z719PJGL3 to understand how users interact with palmabook.com and related services. Analytics may include information such as page views, session activity, device/browser signals, approximate location, traffic source, and conversion events.
Under GDPR, UK GDPR, and similar consent-based regimes, Palmabook seeks consent before activating non-essential analytics technologies where required by law. Palmabook uses consent mode v2 or equivalent mechanisms to help align deployment with applicable consent requirements.
Google Ads
Palmabook uses Google Ads with advertiser ID AW-7996167009 for ad campaign measurement, remarketing, conversion tracking, and audience management where lawful. Palmabook has a commercial advertiser relationship with Google in the ordinary sense that Palmabook pays Google for advertising services. Palmabook may therefore benefit commercially when advertising placements lead to site visits, account creation, inquiries, or bookings.
If Palmabook displays Google-enabled advertising features or uses remarketing tools, those tools are subject to user consent where required by applicable law.
Google Maps
Palmabook may use Google Maps or related mapping services to display property areas, points of interest, and travel context. Mapping services may involve transmission of device or request data to Google as necessary for the feature to function.
Advertising Disclosure
Palmabook’s use of Google services is part of its marketing and operational stack. Palmabook does not present Google as a neutral certifier of Palmabook’s services merely because Palmabook advertises on or uses Google products. Users should understand that Palmabook is a paying customer of Google for some services.
For legal or privacy questions about analytics, cookies, consent, or ad tracking, contact partners@palmabook.com.
Hosting and Infrastructure
Palmabook uses Infomaniak, based in Switzerland, as a hosting and infrastructure provider for certain platform functions. Infomaniak is an independent vendor that provides hosting and related technical services.
Palmabook does not receive any referral commission or affiliate compensation from Infomaniak for using its services. The relationship is a standard vendor relationship in which Palmabook pays for infrastructure and related support.
Where Palmabook stores or processes data in infrastructure associated with Switzerland, users should understand that Swiss data protection law may apply in addition to other laws depending on the user’s location and the nature of the processing. Data residency and transfer practices are described more fully in Palmabook’s privacy documentation.
Infomaniak’s inclusion on this page is for transparency regarding platform infrastructure and does not imply that Infomaniak endorses Palmabook.
OTA Synchronization
Palmabook may support calendar synchronization and, where available, additional integration methods with online travel agencies and travel platforms such as Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, and Expedia.
Nature of OTA Sync
These integrations are used to help reduce double-bookings, keep calendars aligned, and facilitate host operations across multiple channels. In many cases, synchronization occurs through iCal feeds or other channel-management functionality.
No Sync Commission
Palmabook does not receive a commission from Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, or Expedia merely because a host uses synchronization functionality with Palmabook. The sync itself is an operational feature, not an affiliate or referral monetization stream for Palmabook.
OTA Booking Economics
If a host lists the same property both on Palmabook and on an OTA, the OTA’s own fees, commission, terms, and policies apply only to bookings made on that OTA. Palmabook’s terms, pricing, and economics apply only to bookings made through Palmabook.
Palmabook does not represent that OTA rates, rules, insurance offerings, dispute procedures, or ranking systems are identical to Palmabook’s. A listing’s presence on an OTA should not be interpreted as an endorsement by Palmabook or vice versa.
Advertising on Palmabook
Palmabook may display advertisements, sponsored placements, partner promotions, or other paid marketing content on its website, apps, emails, or related communications.
Ads are clearly labeled using terms such as Ad or Sponsored. Palmabook aims to distinguish paid promotional content from organic listings, editorial content, and core marketplace results in a way that is understandable to a reasonable user.
Advertising inventory may include:
- Display banners
- Sponsored destination features
- Promoted partner offers
- Branded placements
- Email sponsorships
- Retargeting or co-marketing placements
Advertisers may pay Palmabook on a flat-fee, impression-based, click-based, lead-based, or other agreed commercial basis. Advertising relationships do not guarantee editorial endorsement, booking priority, user trust status, or superior search placement outside the expressly labeled sponsored context.
For advertising inquiries, contact ads@palmabook.com.
Influencer and Creator Partnerships
Palmabook may work with influencers, creators, publishers, travel bloggers, or social media personalities to promote Palmabook listings, destinations, brand campaigns, referral offers, or related travel content.
Where Palmabook provides money, free stays, discounts, credits, perks, gifts, or any other material benefit in exchange for promotion, the creator must clearly disclose that relationship in compliance with applicable law and platform rules. Required disclosures may include clear terms such as ad, sponsored, paid partnership, gifted, or another legally sufficient disclosure depending on the medium.
Palmabook expects creators to comply with the FTC Endorsement Guides, equivalent Canadian and European transparency standards, and the disclosure policies of the platform on which the content appears.
Palmabook reserves the right to withhold payment, terminate a campaign, request edits, or remove creator content from Palmabook-controlled channels if required disclosures are missing, misleading, or insufficiently prominent.
Referral Program
Palmabook may offer referral programs through which guests, hosts, or other eligible users can invite new users and receive credits, discounts, or other incentives if referral conditions are met.
Referral incentives are a commercial promotion. A person sharing a referral link or code may receive a benefit if the referred user signs up, books, hosts, or completes another qualifying action. Because that benefit may influence the recommendation, participants should disclose the incentive where required by law or platform rules, especially in public or editorial-style communications.
Any referral program is subject to separate referral terms, eligibility criteria, anti-fraud rules, geographic restrictions, expiration policies, and account limitations. Palmabook may suspend or void referral rewards where it reasonably suspects abuse, self-referral, deceptive promotion, or violation of applicable law.
No Conflict of Interest
Palmabook does not favor any listing in organic search ranking solely because the listing owner, advertiser, or partner spends money on advertising with Palmabook.
Sponsored listings or paid promotional placements, where offered, are labeled Sponsored and are separated from or otherwise distinguished from organic ranking results. Organic ranking may take into account factors such as availability, booking likelihood, listing quality, responsiveness, pricing signals, guest experience factors, geographic relevance, and platform trust and safety considerations, but not undisclosed advertising spend.
Palmabook’s objective is to reduce the risk that users mistake paid placement for neutral ranking. If Palmabook introduces new paid visibility products, Palmabook will label them appropriately and update this disclosure if the change is material.
