How do cancellation policies work?

When cancellation conditions are supplied for a rate, they are shown before payment and repeated in the confirmation email and booking page:

• Free cancellation: cancel before the displayed deadline to receive the amount due under the policy.
• Partially refundable: the displayed fee applies and the remaining refundable amount is calculated from the amount actually charged.
• Non-refundable: no refund is due under the displayed rate conditions.

If cancellation conditions are not supplied, Palmabook omits them rather than inventing a policy.
